Accreditation: Trinity Lutheran Seminary is accredited and its degree programs are approved by the Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada and by the Commission on Institutions of Higher Education of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

Degrees: Trinity offers First Professional degrees of Master of Divinity, Master of Theological Studies, Master of Arts in Church Music, and Master of Arts in Lay Ministry, and the Graduate degree of Master of Sacred Theology.

Exploring Trinity: At least once a year, Visit Trinity Weekend provides visitors an opportunity to reflect on their sense of call, tour Trinity, and meet faculty, students and staff. During the summer, Summer Seminary Sampler offers a taste of seminary life and ministry to high school youth.

Faculty: Trinity has 20 full-time faculty, four emeriti faculty in continuing service, and five fully affiliated faculty. Student to faculty ratio is 10 to 1.

Gifts: Trinity Lutheran Seminary is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit institution. Gifts made to Trinity are tax deductible within IRS regulations. Donors will receive a gift receipt from Trinity stating that no goods or services were given for this gift.

International Students: Trinity is authorized by the United States Immigration and Naturalization Service to accept international students on an F-1 visa.

Libraries: Trinity’s Hamma Library is linked with the two other theological libraries in the Theological Consortium of Greater Columbus (Methodist Theological School in Ohio and Pontifical College Josephinum), resulting in one of the largest theological libraries in North America.

Non-Degree Learning: Trinity offers a wide variety of continuing education opportunities for clergy, other rostered leaders, and laity. See our web section on Continuing Education for more information.

Staff: In addition to the faculty, Trinity has approximately 24 administrative and support staff employees.

Students: Trinity’s student body numbers approximately 250. Nearly half are women. Approximately two-thirds of Trinity’s M.Div. students are second career people. In the M.Div program, 95% of the students come from Lutheran backgrounds; in all other programs, half come from non-Lutheran backgrounds.

Tuition: Standard tuition for 2006-07 is $225 per quarter hour. There is a $1,000 tuition charge for internships, paid by the congregation or other superviosry entity. At least 80% of Trinity’s students receive some type of financial assistance.
