Trinity offers five degree programs and two degree programs in cooperation with Capital University:

Master of Divinity (MDIV) prepares students for ordained ministry. The curriculum includes three years of study in Bible, history, theology and pastoral ministry, a unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE), and one year of internship in a congregation.

Master of Theological Studies (MTS) is a two-year academic program that prepares students for specialized ministry and/or further study.

Master of Arts in Church Music (MACM) is a two-year program offering theological, liturgical and musical preparation for a vocation in the music ministry of the church.

Master of Arts in Lay Ministry (MALM) prepares persons for vocations in Christian education or youth ministry. This two-year curriculum features 200 hours of contextual education.

Master of Sacred Theology (STM) is intended for persons who have completed the MDIV or MTS degree. This advanced theological degree is designed to enrich scholarly and pastoral competence and experience.

A joint J.D./M.T.S. Degree may be completed through study at Capital University's Law School and Trinity Lutheran Seminary. Simultaneous study of theology and law uniquely prepares one to deal with the complex ethical questions of our time. The joint degree is particularly valuable for those seeking to work in the public policy arena or with religiously based organizations.

A joint M.S.N./M.T.S. degree may be completed through study at Capital University's School of Nursing and Trinity Lutheran Seminary. Today's health care demands technical competence, compassionate care, and public accountability. Knowledge and skills gained in this interdisciplinary study provide a base for resolving problems in a rapidly changing health care delivery system.
