Housing Options at Trinity
Single Efficiency Suites
Trinity's Schenk Hall efficiency suites have private sleeping and living areas and are air-conditioned. Some suites have a shared bath between units. Kitchenettes in each unit feature an under-counter refrigerator and a microwave. For additional cooking needs, Trinity House (a nearby community gathering spot) offers a complete kitchen. While most suites are not accessible by elevator, the Shodde/Stellhorn building is handicap-accessible.
Schenk Hall efficiency units come furnished with a long twin bed, dresser, table and chair, desk, and armchair. Students provide their own dishes, utensils, linens, phone, TV, computer, clock, paper products, iron, ironing board, vacuum, and cleaning supplies. A coin laundry, chest freezers for residents and bike racks are located in the basement of each building.
Each unit is wired to allow access to the Trinity Network which includes access to the Internet, local access to e-mail, as well as access to some of the library's CD-ROM resources. The units are also wired for standard cable and telephones. The service for landline telephones is the responsibility of each student.
Smoking is prohibited in all suites and pets are not allowed.
Single occupancy in Schenk Hall efficiencies is $3,015 per academic year for 2009-10, payable $1,507.50 per semester. (The academic year is defined as orientation week through the last day of class in the spring semester.)
A room deposit of $200 is required before moving into the dormitory. No adjustment will be made for students who elect to study off-campus during the January term. A student occupying a dormitory efficiency during the summer will be charged $100 per week. Contact the Campus Housing Coordinator for further information.
Because there are a variety of floor plans for the efficiency suites, they are not posted here. You can, however, catch a glimpse of a room on the virtual campus tour.
